Workshop on Awareness and Strategy Building for Gender Equity in Engineering

Arizona State University organized a three-day workshop on Awareness and Strategy Building for Gender Equity in Engineering in Islamabad, Pakistan. Led by Professor Chad Haines from ASU, the workshop provided participants with a detailed overview on how to provide an enabling environment for women to flourish in their careers (especially in engineering), how to promote affirmative action and make organizational policies and procedures more conducive and supportive for gender equity. Over 80 students, faculty and representatives from the industry attended the three-day workshop.
